    Re-locating 2001 TD5 Disco 2 EAT ECU

Now I have found the problem following the unplanned swim in the Disco, has anyone forund a way of waterproofing or moving the Electronic Automatic Transmission ECU from under the passanger seat?

It seems to be mounted in a silly place if you go for that unplanned swim.

Any assistance would be appreciated but I am nowhere near anyone that knows much about Discos (I'm up in the Pilbara) so a self install would be on the cards.

    EAT ECU placed in box

I have placed the replacement ECU in a sealed lunchbox. I cut a hole in the side, put a gromet over the cable ans sikafexed it closed.

Should be ok in the future.

As Maxwell Smart said "Good thinking, 99"

Only thing I would be watching is the temp inside the box.

Easiest & cheapest temp probe that I have found is from Ikea, and is actually a meat thermometer. It has a probe on a long wire, and the display is big enough to read easily.

From memory, they are under $20.
