    TD5 Flywheel change

Hi All. Well Its been over 60thou. since the noise started and I removed the box* thinking it was just a spigot bush. The noise from the fly wheel is a little bit in your ear now so its time to think NEW flywheel . The question is dualmass or singel mass.. Has any one uesed a singel mass ? And if so where did you get it from and were there any problems . OR do I go back to standed dual mass..Any info would be welcome.. I did look for the search but couldnt work out where ..or how..Thanks Bob ..

Probably because half the posts were made with duel instead of dual.

Try searching for "Mass Flywheel" and avoid this issue altogether. There will be numerous articles but 4 or 5 will be what you are looking for.

    Hope that helps

The standerd dual mass flywheel was fitted to stop drivetrain noise and vibations.
I recomend you replace with the same, a singal mass flywheel may cause you problems in the gearbox or other parts of the drive train and that will cost more to repair than if the dual mass went wrong again after another 60k or so.

LR have done there testing and developement, stick with them and replace with the real deal

    Pete
