I'm slowly working my way through the miriad of jobs I have on the Rangie (1981), and coming into winter, have decided the next thing to fix is the demister/ heater/ fans.
The lever on the RHS says Screen - Car. When it's flicked up to Screen, nothing comes out of the vents at the top. All the Screen hoses come from the back of the unit. I'm not looking forward to pulling this unit out so has anyone got any easy ideas to look at first.
The vehicle used to have A/C but that's not worked for years.
And yes, the fans DO blow!
Also, does anyone know where I can get replacement air ducting from?
Any help would be greatly accepted!!

SubscriberI should say, when the lever is flicked to car, there's a vent at the bottom of the unit which opens but not much flows out, most of the air comes through the hole at the top where the vents usually sit.
Is it going to be a case of pull the unit out to check?

I have ducting available and a unit which I dismantled to get fixed but have not yet put back together as I upgraded cars instead- if you want to have a look at how it all works give me a call
