    2.25 petrol head gasket

Got a bit motivated today and pulled the head off the 2a to see what the problem was. Turned out to be blown head gasket, not a burnt valve like I thought. Just wondering what is the recommended head gasket and what else I should replace. I am going to have the head surfaced and the stem seals replaced, should I have anything else done while its there.

Buy a VRS kit from someone like 4 Wheel Drives in Melbourne, it will have all the gaskets and seals required. I would think about hardened valve seats while reconditioning the head........only the exhaust needs to be done, and allows unleaded to be used without "possible" valve recession. (there are differing schools of thought on this)

There is also a slight modification involving chamfering of the combustion chamber edge to prevent cracking (if you require details, send us a pm)

    Hope that helps.
