    No need to cut it off. You just have to ensure it is facing forward a little and not straight down when you refit.

    The fuel regulator assembly is dripping quite profusely now so I am waiting on a package from the USA with the reg. I was lucky that I managed to get a new hose ( the ones they say can split) from British off Road, but to fit it you need to pull the alternator off. It is impossible to access the end pipe fitting without removing the alternator.

    fuel reg.

    Don`t forget about the steel shim gasket on it that is a fairly important part as well.

    I just ordered the bosch part from the states, does anyone know what other orings i will need to get as assume the ones that will come on the regulator will mean i only need 3 others?

    Thanks for all the guys who have posted up so much info already, has certainly save me some money. Part is about $450 over here in NZ...

    Blimey... We charge £130 or £225 depending on chassis number, for the regulator, gasket and O ring! And that's with VAT!

    Hi all, Just got my new reg from USA as per a few posts ago. They are different in appearance and I have taken a photo with the Land Rover original and the new one. Note that the size of the hole is smaller on the new one. This does not seem to effect the car though. No more leaks anyway. A tip is once you have it installed get a mirror and check under the whole housing for any fuel leakage after a few klms.

    Out of interest, why replace just the regulator and not upgrade to the modified housing?

    Up until the EU region went into financial meltdown £225 was about $400 AUD
