Do I need to change oil....again??

Replaced the oils in the '03 ZF box but did not replace the filter at the time for who knows what reason

I now have the filter. Disco has done less than 10,000 ks since the change. Do you think I should change the oil again?

    Cheers

    Its not gonna hurt.
I used to change my gearbox oil every 10k km's.

Some leave it in for 40k km's.
When I sold my Auto, it shifted like it was new. I always change fluids way before they are due to prevent any damage.
    Works for me.

Every 10 is a little too often for a daily. But I'm with you, change at half intervals....or there abouts..

I read on the ashcroft site that there is some debate on the value of changing oil too much in the ZF.

    Check the bottom FAQ

1992 Commodore, in my driveway, 17 years, 130,000k, never had an auto fluid change. Still red, still shifts good enough.

But then unlike a "stinky rover motor", it isn't "always on the stall, heating the auto fluid"
