So basically on all range rover classics discos 1 and defenders the front axle is not in the centre of the chassis and one wheel rubs first on the radius arms. You can get adjustable panhard rods but they cost drug money.
i may have had too many rums by now but an adjustable panhard will move the body not the radius arms? and it will have no bearing as to wether a tyre rubs on a radius arm or not?

    cheers phil

I agree that they never were. Mine was off by something like 6-10mm. I fitted spacers to the panhard mount bracket so mine is centred at ride height.

Yes Phil, too many rums. The front suspension is a parrallelogram with the radius arms forming the two sides. The panhard length changes how close to square it is. When it's off-square, one side will rub first.
Don't you adjust the right hand stop if the left hand wheel is rubbing?

I had the same issue when I fitted my tyres. I knew about the stops so grabbed a spanner and jumped under to adjust it, but found that the stop bolt on the RH side was missing

I'd never noticed before and not had any trouble with rubbing so the steering travel must have been limited by something else.
