    wiring up a electronic dizzy to a carby 3.5

    i have bought a distributor(35dm8) from a 97 disco with a module and coil and would like to wire it up but do not have the harness from the dizzy to the module so what do i run the pick up wires(two black) on the dizzy to on the module (black blue red) thanks

    Exclamation dizzy

    Hi before you go on, the 97 distributor doesn't have a tang to drive the oil pump, inside the gear. You need an earlier distributor, has the module on it. Cheers, Jilden

    Yes just knock out the pin and put the original gear and oil pump drive on the later dissy.

    Thats what I did on mine just not sure what year it was from

    ok the dizzy is fitted i used the drive gear from the original dizzy .i have the pos and neg that ran to the old coil(gt40) connected to the new coil and the pos and neg from the module going to the coil and the dizzy pickup wires going to the module (left to red right to blue)but still no spark . i would like to have my car going by Monday for work so any help would be greatly appreciated
