Poor Fuel Consumption 2005 Defender 110

    G'day Everyone,

Noticed that my car seems to be doing poorly on the fuel, not sure if this is right or not. Towing a camper trailer today and also with a roof rack I seem to be averaging about 5.75km to the litre. Giving a range of around 430km. Camper trailer is around 850kg loaded. Speeds were hwy at around 100kmh. Car has been chipped.
Can someone steer me in the right direction please.

Take off the roof rack, drive at 90.

Wow, that'd make the chip worthwhile.

That sounds like a lot of fuel for not many Km's.

loose the roof rack, loose the trailer slow down...

it could be the mapping youve got or it could be a sensor gone out of whack. check all the connections.

everytime I loose the connector off of the sensor on the air inlet duct nearest the air box that costs me a couple of k/l

I'd agree that the roof rack will be costing you but I got 15l/100 towing a car trailer and a 107" Series 1. I would have expceted under 15.
Good advice above, check again without all the add ons.
    Is the chip upgrade new?
