    Vacuum for Maxi Lockers

We have just re-fitted a set of maxi diffs and lockers to our 89 Range rover.

However we cannot figure out where to take the vacuum from on the brake booster. Can anyone with Maxi lockers help with instructions or a diagram please?

    Thanks in advance
    Keith

    Thanks Philip

Exactly where does the line you suggest run from and to?

Do you mean the line from the fuel pressure regulator? The hose labled no 12 in the attached diagram?

Well I guess you could use that but the maxi valves and connections leak a bit usually and you could affect your fuel mixtures.

No the hoses I am talking about come from the front RH side of the plenum chamber. They are the only ones there other than the vacuum take off for the brakes. They are small diameter.

I am presuming 3.9 here. If you are talking 3.5 the pipes may not be there.

Just do not take it from the vacuum advance as that is ported vacuum.

You could always drill a hole in the plenum anywhere and screw in a nipple.

Ok Philip I wondered about the impact on the fuel mixure
I will look on the chamber - I know the one you mean on the 3.9 but not sure there is one on the 3.5 - will look tonight.
