while you have your manifold off check the small hose that goes to the oil cooler, the heat from the turbo makes it hard and brittle and alot easier to replace with manifold off

    Hi Craig,

Genuine ONLY is adviseable, around low $200's.

    nulon....is a brand....not an additive.......

do you have the owners manual for car......it will specify the requirements for your coolant......
and as far as i know.......the only coolant that meets those specs....is coloured red.......it needs to be the OAT type......

ive used nulon in lurch.......but the red one......nulon also make green.....
the red is almost double the price of the green.......and from memory.....to get a 50% mix you need around 6 to 6.5 litres of the stuff.....concentrated.......
not the premixed stuff......that figure is for my fender which has a cooling system capacity of around 13.5 litres.......or there abouts......

the red coolant can be used in earlier engines with the brass radiators as well.......
but the green is not compatible with some of the later engines with the different alloys used......

i guess you need to be a metalurgist to understand it all......with a degree or two in chemistry and physics......

but check the owners manual.......i can also explain why mechanics use what they do.......but will need to start another thread.......

or maybe even around a campfire.......

i forgot to add.......some mechanics will charge you extra on your service for regassing you halogen globes.......
and topping up the headlight fluid........

thats why its best to do as much as you can yourself.......
and get to know your rig better as well.......

    servicing isnt hard........
