Depends what you're comparing it with.

They are noisier than a road tyre but quieter than an Avon Rangemaster.

Just turn up the volume on the radio!

Yeah, 88 quid in the UK, but keep in mind these are remoulds. I just got a sea-freight shipment from UK, it would have been soo easy to fit a set in.

My mud tyres were a set of 205R16 radial casings with SAT retread blocks vulcanised on. In the mud and snow melt I used them in, they were awesome. I never had cross-ply SAT's on the same vehicle but I'm convinced the radial casings were quieter.
But last winter one of the casings died of old age. There is a tyre shop in NZ which can do the same again on 225/75R16 casings. I probably should do that.

These are 90km/h tyres, not 100km/h tyres. I keep them on a spare set of rims.

    Check the www.beadelltours.com.au website.
they have a very informative tyre section and links to suppliers.
good on bitumen, sand and harder to rock damage and stake.

    Way to go.

On such programs which show the Worlds Worst Roads, -usually India, - all 4WD's seem to run this size/tread style.
Maybe it really is a universal and efficient off-road tyre, like what Land Rovers used to come with... And RRC's.
All the vehicles that spend thier life out in the bush run this size tyre, the only vehicles running bigger fatter tyres are the tourists. Pat
