I personally chose Penrite HPR Diesel 15, I reckon most would agree with me here

Well on the Rave Cd (Which You can purchase a copy from Dave's Interesting Things just hit the SHOP Link up the top there) it says that the oil is 15w/40. Now depending on how high your milage is, Mine has over 300,000k's i went with Penrite hpr 15w/50 which is a thicker oil and have had no problem.

As already said, its a bit of a personal thing.
I use Gulf Western - topdog (at least thats what I think it is with looking at the drum). Main reason for using it is its deliveried to my door at a reasonable price, dont top up at all between services which are done between 5000- 10000km

I used to care and use Delvac 1. Used to get ten at a time and deliver a few, until a few people decided not to pay and I got slung with a lifetime supply and about, ooh roughly say $640.50 shortfall.

Nowadays its whatever my mechanic uses every 10k (GOD only knows, could be horse semen going by precedent) and for top ups, whatever the hell is lying around.
