Good luck mate, Did they come with a warranty? as if they are out of that i don't like you chances.
Does anyone know the email address for contacting this company?
customer service or something.
We have a set of roo lites 180's that we have had for 2 years fitted to the car for about 18 months
one of the lights kept letting water in and we could not work out from where as they are supposed to be a sealed unit.
eventually we found that the casing had a small neat crack in a straight line from one side of the rim of the casing to the other.
Talking to a friend he reckons it could be an expansion crack. Now I know these lights aren't as expensive as lightforce but I did expect them to last longer than 18months. the light its self other than the crack is now showing signs of corrosion.
I would like to let them know what has happened, you never know if they are feeling generous they may send me a replacement light can't hurt to ask![]()

all new things come with a warranty Grover.....although I'm assuming it is 12months which it is well and truly out of, even if I don't get anything out of them I still want to air my grievance on poor quality and longevity.
Regardless I don't think 18months is a good run for a set of lights that cost us 200bux

So does no one have any idea where I can get an email address from for customer service? They don't appear to have a website.

Hey DB
I have the same lights on the Defender. Mine did exactly the same thing. I also know a fella who has Lightforce 240 Blitz's that did the same thing. He just wrapped tape round his.
I was a bit more creative and got hold of some Loctite Gel and filled up the cracks, then waited for it to dry and sanded it back with fine sandpaper. After that I rubbed black shoe polish into the patch. They came up alright, it fixed one but the other needs another go
I'll post up a photo if you like?
Also let me know how you go with the complaint, be interesting to see.

Buy genuine Light Force. They are made in Adelaide, whereas the RooLite are a copy made elsewhere. Light Force did all the engineering and mathematical development of the lense and bulb holder. RooLite just copied them.
Aaron.
yep thats what happens when patents run out.....
If you read the thread you will also note that it has happened to long strokes friend who had lightforces....
So lets see mmmmm 300bux fo the real mcoy that may split
or 200bux for a copy of the real mcoy which is a very good copy that also might split.

They are not a direct copy. There is a subtle difference in the bulb holder which results in the light beam not being as good as it possibly could.
