D2 R380's , is it straight bolt on with LT230?

Will a Later Model D2 R380 Bolt straight on to an LT230 out of Defender which currently has a ZF Bolted to it?

Yes it will bolt onto the transfer case.

I think the shifter might be in the wrong spot to go in the Deefer though.

I got a really good price on a low kays R380 out of a D2 with all ancillaries , which may be replacing my ZF. It's still cheaper for me to put in an R380 than rebuild my ZF thru A & B Transmission.

If you do the exchange, I would be interested in the bits to connect the ZF to an LT230. I currently have a ZF with Borg Warner viscous coupling t/f in my RRc and would be interested in fitting an LT230 in it's place (I have the LT230).

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

I still can't decide wheather to get rid of ZF or get it rebuilt

One of the members here already asked me via PM if he'd be able to have all the bits to connect a ZF to an LT230.

Absolutely, if they are not being given away I am always happy to pay a fair price the vendor wants. Ask Brian Hjelm and quite a few other members.
