Could one be faulty thereby throwing up a fault to the ecu and making it deactivate abs?
Cheers,
Dave
I would greatly appreciate some advice on brake problems with my 93 Range Rover. While 4wd driving on some rough track the other day both the Brake and ABS warning lights came on. On inspection it was found the ABS pump was not working. I checked fuses all ok and relays. One was not working so I replaced all 3 ( 1 blue and 2 black under the passenger seat) No difference. I rigged up a lead to bypass the relay supplying current direct to the pump and it worked. So I am able to energise the pump with a manual switch until the brake light goes out and the brakes work OK but ABS light is still on. So I can at least drive the truck by maual operation of the ABS pump when the red light comes on. So is it the pump and pressure switch or the ECU. Any ideas for further checking

I had exactly the same problem a couple of weeks ago on my '93 Rangie, it turned out to be a dicky relay not supplying enough voltage to the pump.
It was the fellas at British Offroad that figured it out.
