I bought it from Ritters (broke down three blocks from them) and it was around $45. Only used it a week as it was far too noisy and swapped it for this one which was much cheaper

I got the Dayco one about a month ago from AutoOne as mine screeched like crazy. Had to order it in, originally was sent a Gates and told Dayco don't make one to suit... took about a week and a half but finally got one.

Ah that's alright Lou, but from when I went searching for one, the few places I tried said it's not a normal one they stock in any brand so had to order it anyway. But you live in Sydney, you have a better chance of an off-the-shelf somewhere perhaps!
TIP:
this may help to understand the numbers a little better......
lets take 7PK1580 for example........
the 7PK means it has 7 ribs.........
and the 1580 is the length in mm...........
if you can read the numbers on your current belts.......record them down somewhere till you need them......
as they will wear off on the idler pulleys.......
when you need to buy a belt.........if you parts supplier doesnt have a 7PK1580 for example......
he may have a 7PK1585 or a 7PK1575....which will do the job as its only 5mm diffrence in length.......
so you do not need to specify a land rover belt or part number......
just the generic number for the belt.......its easier to find one that way.......
Thats a good tip DZ, today is the first chance i've had to have a good look at mine and i'd say its going to let go soon as coming last night i stopped to pickup fish n chips and it was like i had no power steering it was that heavy (belt hadnt snapped either) . I noticed this morning there is 1 whole rib missing and there are splits crossways along a lot of the belt- wont be driving it today.

Hi Dullbird
Had the same thing happen to me andI was stumped.
Turned out the powersteering pump bearing/shaft was stuffed.
Don't check for bearing play in it but pull the pulley wheel out from the pump as hard as you can.
Mine had an 8mm movement.

he pulled on everything backwards and forwards.....as I have read that on here before about the power steering pump. So I made sure that he check on each and everyone of the pullys giving them a good yank around.....
Everything seemed very solid..and nothing wanted to budge
