I think Graeme is the one who found the problem with the TD5 exhaust. The mufflers are pretty good and its already a 2.5" system. The big holdup in the system seems to be in the flex joint where the internal diameter is necked right down. Thats probably the part that needs to get flicked to get some real gains happening.
td5 exhausts are stainless steel and 70mm not 2 1/2 (65mm), but yes your right, the worst bits of the system is the necked down bits in the down pipe. the center muffler isnt restrictive its just bloody heavy!
Buy a Vortex muffler and replace the centre muffler with it, it actually does make a difference, a bit better than the straight bit of pipe that I had done.
