The big holdup in the system seems to be in the flex joint where the internal diameter is necked right down. Thats probably the part that needs to get flicked to get some real gains happening.

td5 exhausts are stainless steel and 70mm not 2 1/2 (65mm), but yes your right, the worst bits of the system is the necked down bits in the down pipe. the center muffler isnt restrictive its just bloody heavy!
