    Savings

    oil 7lts $84.00
    filters from rovercraft $ 64.53
    engine flush $ 12.00

    total $160.00
    Why every 5,000km !!!

Your engine has the worlds best oil filter on it, and save some money and your engine and don't use the engine flush

Just had a quick look at the minimal specs on their 5W-40 and it's at the thin end for an xW-40 at 13 cSt (most of the competition are around 14.5-15.5 cSt @100*C) which isn't a bad thing and will give slightly better fuel economy under ideal conditions.

It's claimed to be a full synthetic but with a pour point of -33*, it'd have to be majority Group III (severely hydrocracked mineral oil) and a viscosity index of 175 there will be a fair amount of viscosity index improver too which may lead to shearing over a long oil change (20,000km) although it supposedly meets the BMW LL specs.

Wether it's as good an oil as Mobil 1 0W-40 or Castrol Edge 5W-40 is very debateable as those two oils are proper Group IV/Group V full synthetics and very, very good oils with manufacturer approvals as long as your arm.
If the Nulon is around the same price as M 1 0W-40 or Edge 5W-40 I'd choose both of those over it with no hesitation, but if it's significantly cheaper that may sway me, but I'd want more data and test results first.

If the engine is never getting hot from frequent short trips, shorter oil change intervals are a good idea, but if your doing over 25km a trip and doing a fair few miles/month, you are really wasting your money using a synthetic oil at 5,000km OCI's.

It might be OK, but really read what specs an oil meets or more importantly is actually approved for before being seduced by the pretty packaging.
<edit> Found they have a blending facility at Moorebank these days, so it looks like they do it all inhouse.
G/day rick, All in house going by there site. They cover a big range with their 15/40 diesel oil, Caterpillar, cummings, merc, and most Jap engines.I to thought it would all be a load ofBu@@@T, but after a trip to Mudgee with the van i am very surprised, Time will tell i guess.

    Cheers Sumo.
