Unless you want rags these things are not bad for tread and do drive ok on black top.

    The 285/75s I have now

As Matt says they do measure undersize. the 35's are more 34's at the most really.

I wouldn't use either Simexs or Extremes on the road so thats not an issue.

There have been a few threads on UK forums where tested back to back in serious muddy off road situations the Silverstones have bettered the Simex's

In all honesty tho, I think if I was just driving in mud I would get Boggers, and on Rock, Krawlers.

Must say i am really liking the look of thos KM2's Tony.

The most black top i have driven is probably 10-15km at 80km/h and they were noisy but behaved reasonably. I would not drive on them as a daily or for any distance trips.

On a trip to Levuka (rainforest 4wd park - very slippery mud and clay) the 3 of us running the extreme drove everything, while those running MFG Muds, Maxxis Muds, Silverstone Sports etc struggled and had no chance on one particular hill the 3 of us made look easy. I have also done some technical creek/rock gully runs and they handled this well, just need to be carefull that you do not give too much right foot when the side lugs are catching and trying to get side grip. Have also done some very loose marble and dusty hills and they clear through this well. I have not been disappointed with them yet, put it that way

I got mine about 12-18mths ago at a bargain price, $900 for 4 on standard disco rims, NEW Love Ebay I think the boys paid about $320 per tyre 6mths ago for theirs. (would have to double check to confirm this though).
Thanks for this Info Stikman, good to hear some good reports about Extremes.

In mud they are awesome. On rock Less so.

On the road I havent driven more that 10km mainly as I dont want to round them off, but they were very very noisy, and I would say going over 90kmh would be risking it.
This is one thing that concerns me a bit , is the fact that at times I have to drive over 100 kms to get to the meeting point with the extremes on.
so it would give me the absolute Bananas to drive with Noisy Tires.

They Measure undersize to buggery, they drive rerribly, don;t get me wrong, a centipede ain;t a pleasure to drive on, but the Extremes are worse again

    I really didn;t like them

BUT, they are $100 a tyre cheaper

    Chinese winch........Warn winch?
    yeah yeah...

I thought you had MTZ's on your RANGIE ????

The undersize measurements wouldn't really bother me that greatly even if the 35's measured 34's It's the Price of other Tires brands . ie ........Ahem .......BFG .........

That's why I'm choosing to go down the Silverstones path ..

You cant compare the silvertone extremes or simex centipedes to a BFG Km2!? These are in two totally different leagues.

Grover , noone here is comparing Tyres with Tyres I would have started a Poll to do a comparisson on tyre brands otherwise If I wanted to compare tyres .I 'm curious to find out from personal experiences of those that run silverstone Extremes on their trucks , I mentioned BFG tyres and that's souley because of prices I've been quoted for BFG KM2's and I read in another thread that I should be happy with these prices that I've been quoted because someone was quoted a lot higher prices in a different state and therefore I have to be happy ??

Yes. Want to be aswell As I don't really like walking on jellyfish Siverstone are fine 100% off road as stated above. No good to me as have to touch the black top everyday.
When I was looking for tyres for my 120 I started with simex, maxi, sliverstone etc. I've ended up with BFG for a reason.... Compromise. I cant be bothered changing tyres all the time.
    I use 9.5 X 16 (33")tractor tyres here in the mud anyway.
