    chassis lift the vehicle

undo the big bolt at the top of the diff

    pry the aframe up

remove the 4 bolts retaining the ball joint mount

    remove the retaining plate bolts

    press the ball joint out.

reverse the above using a new part.

Thanks Dave, your advice is great as was your explanation to do the inner swivel joint seals. Piece of cake.

As Dave has said. Also get a greaseable unit.

Trouble is at press the ball joint out you come to the conclusion that there isn't a hope in hell of budging this little sucker. You will then have to remove the entire A-frame, try a BIG press, get the heat out and cook the ******* ball joint until something gives.

To give you an idea mine took over 8 hours to do, another 110 took less than an hour. In theory there's nothing to it, in practice, it just depends, but I'd back discowhite's comments.

I just gave mine quick wipe and a grease and spoke kindly to it incase I ever need to change it out again

I bought a Maxi-drive unit when I did mine as it is greaseable. I believe they were picked up by the mob that makes some of the other Maxi-drive stuff now.

you can buy a frame ball joints with grease nipples anyway doesn't have to be maxi and if it doesn't have a nipple I think you can just tap one in
