Thread: front diff seal leaking

Hi,
My front diff is leaking where the prop shaft joins it. I can not find any information about diffs in either my Haynes or the rave manual.

I've got lots of info. on the prop shaft and lots of info on the front axil and final drive but nothing on the diff.

Is the seal a difficult job to replace?

If so I might use it as an excuse to fit a trutrack in the front and get the seal done at the same time

You shouldnt need to pull the diff just undo tailshaft then undo the nut. You will probably have to make a puller up so you can get to the internal nut then change the seals.
