The money spent mucking around with that would keep both registered for quite a few years.
The historic rego is not as restrictive as you think. Check out the MVCA, I can get you on concessional rego if you apply to join the club.
There are also other clubs that can do this, but that one is military vehicle specific.
The other option will cost a packet.

). I have explored the consessional registration route and this is too restrictive to put either car on club rego for me.



but I none the less want 4WD. I would also like to use as much of the HZ body/chassis as possible without modification and with coil springs. My thoughts initially went to RRC running gear with a modification plate to suit the 202 hopefully retaining the original coil mounts in the HZ.
