    Angry power steering pump on Di tdi

    On a mates disco tdi(92),his power steering pump has failed twice(under warranty so he's not paying to get it fixed).
    The last 1 was a brand new pump.
    That failed after about 1 months operation.
    Can anyone shed some light as to why his p/steer pump keeps on failing.
    He's on his P's and does not flog the car at all.

    We've been through heaps of troubles with our 92 d1 200tdi power steering pump. first the old one seized up, bought a new one and it was noisyer then the old, bought another one and eventually soughted that out
    It seems to be a bit of a weakness in the 200's, the only thing i can think of is maybe the wrong fluid or something in the fluid
    Not much help

    I have a 92 Disco,a mate also has a 92 Disco and neither of us has had any probs with our p/steering........
    Its my mates son whose Disco is having the problems....

    Pity he needs a new one right away otherwise Island4x4 in Kent have them for 51 pounds plus 20 pounds postage so landed for about $150.

    They found the problem.............
    It was a tiny hole in one of the rubber pipes....
