    Diesel quality

A short time ago I believe there was a thread here indicating that it was highly likely that discount outlets sold ethanol blend diesel. I filled up at my normal outlet recently and noticed the diesel colour was a bright yellow/green. On paying I asked what ethanol blend they sold and was told that they do not sell blended diesel. To cut a long story short I am halfway through the tank and so far I am more than 100km behind where I normally am. What is your opinion on my fuel load quality? Jim

That's bio diesel. Probably 100% given the colour. No ethanol afaik. Quality wise - treat yourself to some injector cleaner and it should be fine.

    possible biodiesel

A short sniff near the exhaust when warm will tell you if it is Bio. Will smell like maca's chips even if blended.

The Bio I used to buy from matraville was a very much gold colour. Range using some of the blended stuff in Brisbane will drop by about 10 %.

I've gone back to using Middle east diesel after picking up a crook bio load out of Liverpool NSW. The stuff waxed up before reaching campbelltown on a cold frosty night.

    Regards

I'm not sure what car you have... and I don't mean to start a big debate but in the TD5 owners manual it specifically warns that td5's should NOT be fed bio.

We get green diesel here occasionally. Someone told me it's imported from Singapore, but I have no way to check that.
