I got one from Paddocks a while back. A sparky mate picked it up and asked "why do you have a water element socket"?

So there ya go, it's not even a landrover specific tool.

Got mine at Supercheap as part of a 3/4" drive impact drive set. I had to also get a 3/4" rattle gun to undo it as I had nothing that would shift it. Note that the D2 has to be tightened to approx 600Nm of torque.

I'd be interested to know how long "a while back is"?

I've tried bunnings, plumbers, supercheap, repco, all to no avail. Water elements are no longer screw in they have 4 holes for fixing to the tank.

Yes it is, but the size is identical to some hot water element sockets.

Maybe 18 months ago I bought it. I'm sure hot water cylinders have moved on, but sparkeys still get to work on stuff that's straight out of the ark.
