Could be from the alternator itself, or maybe from above that and running down, say starting at the plug where the injector loom connects.
The alternators vacuum pump has an oil feed so this is where I would be starting.
My TD5 D2 engine is has a oil leak front right of engine somwhere around the altenator level.
I cant see where it is coming from.
Any susgestions on what is in that general area that can leak?

There was a some sweating from the valve cover.
Replaced that.
Will have a look at the vacuum pump as I hace to replace the belt anyway.
Me on mission to get rid of oil leaks.
Three at present. Altenator area, ACE pump area and transfer box.
Has anybody got a diagram of the vacuum pump area on TD5 D2.
Seems the leak is not the pump but rather from somwhere underneath it.
There is what seems to be a return hose that could be perished.
Can't see from underneat but I first want to have look to see what the plumbing in that area is like.
Any advice?
There is a return hose out of the base of the vacuum pump.
Will see if I can find a diagram.
Here you go. This is the best I can do:
