My bet's the a frame ball joint, but if that's all clear, get the blonde assistant to attempt to move the car from the front, pulling/pushing at right angles to the vehicle axis (attempting to twist the car). As before, look, feel and listen to each bush and joint.
I reckon this is the only way to check out where bush and joint wear is located - visuals are sometimes inconclusive.
The assistant will be exhausted by the time your examination ends - have some refreshment handy.
