Tyres 235x85 on the front 265x75 on rear

Can anyone point out a problem with the above on a County?
I suppose its legal, not too sure. According to the "wheel & tyre bible" they are .25% different in diameter, no different than normal wear. I have some ( 1/2 worn) - 3 of each to be exact, and thought this as a way to use them up.
I cant seem to get single 1/2 worn ones anywhere to make up 4.

    Thanks,
    David

Google vicroads tyre regs - there are a few sites - the toyo site one does not mention widths.

However, vsi 9 of the RTA NSW says because it's 4wd, it's no. Highly likely that somewhere vicroads is the same.

Easier to put either one up for swap to the other.

What if you get a flat, drive in sand and let tyres down, that will make big difference.

Sounds to me like the diff would get wind up from what I seem to remember a tyre guru mention to me.

I would ring some tyre places and see if they have some 2nd hand ones hanging around if money tied at moment.

Hope it all works out o.k though.

Tyres and brakes are the single most important gear on a gear as far as I am concerned.

I keep both in well above average cond. Hence my concerns

There will be no wind unless you run locked on hard surfaces, the diameter is so close i wouldnt be worried about it, who would even know to pull you up on it anyway- i'd do it. I know a guy who use to run a ford 9" in a rangie that the ratio was 3.9/1 and that wasnt a problem.

On any constant 4wd vehicle running odd size tyres is a sure way of causing damage, and it's all expensive. Pat

so long as the rolling diameter of the tyres is within a mickey hair of each other your fine.

Legally because your an allwheel drive vehicle the diference in width is going to get you in trouble if you get caught.

As I said in my original post, there is .25% ( note the point) difference in diameter, probably within normal wear expectancy.

So wind up is not a consideration.
I 'll check the Vicroads site.

    Thanks

Why not flog 3 of them on use that money to buy atleast one of the other size.

I wouldn't do it. My transmission is worth more than a couple of old tyres.
