Thread: I fixed it!

I had this all typed out and the cat walked across the keyboard, and I lost it. We do not call the cat, "Cooking Fat" for nothing. (Its a Spoonerism). If you do not know what that is, it is where you change around the first letters of both words. So, some time ago the D1 would not start despite 4 starts that morning. Fuel pump had died. Bought a new one and a new filter. V8 now ran like a hairy goat. But ok on LPG. Fuel regulator was then replaced as it was supposed that the better pump pressure had washed all the dirt up to the reg. Still no good. As I had a new set of injectors, I fitted them, Still no good. Took spark plugs out. Left banks exhaust manifold was warm, other side cold. Rang around a few places and Forest Glen said we know a bloke who had the same problem and he lived near to where I was staying. Went to see him and he had knocked off a wire on the relays for the LPG. (took him 3 months to find that). Back to Blackbutt and dived into the wiring loom. Found a wire had been cut and then soldered back together, end to end. It had broken. Then I found some other soldered joints that were dry and causing a bad connection. Replaced all this lot with new wire and 2 new relays, and it works!!!! Only took 3 weeks.
