Do all 3 side indicators flash? Double speed is normally a sign a globe is out.
Or someone has fitted a 5w globe to the front/rear instead of a 21w.
Gents,
Got a friend with a 300tdi discovery and the left hand front indicator is running at double the speed of the other three.
Is this the flicker unit that is stuffed or the relay or am I on the wrong track?
any ideas on how we can fix this?
Cheers

It can't possibly, if the other three you are talking about are LHR, RHF and RHR. There is only one flasher can, so a front indicator can't flash at a different rate to a rear one.
It is more likely that all the bulbs are working on one side and there is a blown bulb on the other.
The change in flash rate is designed in (and required by ADRs) to alert the driver that there is a fault.
Will let him know and let you know if it's the issue...!
thanks for the help!
Hmmm the same thing happened in my 'fender the other day - I'd better have a lokk !
