    Instrument display backlighting DII

    Hi guys,

I have a minor problem with the back lighting of my instrument panel,

The back lighting behind the speedo etc is all working - but I have lost any back light behind the odometer and along the bottom edge of the instrument panel.

All the warning lights are working fine - only back lighting and only the bottom strip of the panel.

I can't see any fuse problems, and Rave hasn't cast much light on whats happening.

I am guessing it may simply be a globe in that panel - but I really don't want to pull the dash apart until I know i am shooting in the right direction.

    Anyone got any thoughts?

    Thanks,
    Mark

Just a T10 globe that's easily accessible after removing the binnacle. Remove the 2 screws in the surround, pull the surround towards you to release it from the clips at the rear, remove the 4 screws holding the binnacle to the dash then remove the electrical connector. I've just replaced one of mine!

PS the switches need to be unplugged but they only fit into their specific switch so no mix-up when refitting.
