Try looking for play in the UJs on the front prop shaft. 90ks is a common speed for this to appear and about 110ks if the rear ones are worn.

Checked both and seem OK to me, but I am going too take the front shaft off to positively rule it out this weekend.

spot on i reckon ,aswell check your rubber ring on the tail shaft just before it connects to the rear diff, if it is torn or distorted severe vibration does occur .when turning the disco, it puts preesure on the rubber ring which will mean the vibration can go away

Quite an unusual condition, but I recently discovered a rear shock was badly damaged and had excessive bump resistance. With that shock replaced with an old one, a front wheel inbalance and pulling to the left problem basically disappeared.

Hi Graeme no I haven't, but I am thinking of it after I rotate the tyres.

Shocks were checked after I replaced broken one, they seem OK.

I dont know I had real vibration issues with my car...at certain speeds. once the swivel preload was done on mine it was heaps better...but still vibs at 110 changed my damper and it was all gone.

they can be a big culprit for vibs in a car I think and often one of those things over looked

May sound like a silly suggestion but check your front wheel nuts

I had a similar thing happen and was wondering what it was. It was only until a fella at work pointed out I was missing a wheel nut that I realised it was the problem

About a month ago I had a vibration that responded the same as you describe in regards to steering left and right. While trying to figure that one out, I did what I thought was a bit of completely unrelated maintenance.....I replaced the flogged out front radius arm to axle bushes. Vibration gone. Who would have thought...though the worn bushes were the rear of axle ones, which allowed the diff pinion to drop a fair bit increasing the UJ angle.
This happened on my County, but it may be worth checking the bushes with a screw driver on yours.

First thing I checked, even removed the wheels and refitted them just to be sure.

Yes Dave will be checking them thoroughly on Friday arvo.

Dave I keep forgetting that fuel filter, I'll give Bob a ring and arrange a replacement for him when they are home.

Yes I did think of them as I had flogged out and bent rear ones a while ago, I will be checking the fronts Friday with some expert help.
