    Shuttle Valve ???

I have the 3 magic warning lights appearing. Hill decent, ABS, and traction control. Got a quote of $1,200 installed. I am Brisbane based. Does anyone know of a cheaper solution or recommend a repairer. I understand that this also relates to a vehicle recall that I had done a few years ago. Reckon landrover should be doing something about it themselves if it is a design fault. Welcome your feedback.

    My feedback is,

do your homework before spending ANY money,,,

There is a bucket load of info an here, and HEAPS more on the web,,

Lots of people recommend the regular use of TC/ABS to cleanse the system, There is a connection relocation in the modulator that has worked for many, most people get way with resetting the system for a while until they are SURE of the problem,,

    research research research,,

Yes, as Pedro has already said. Read all the posts relating to the three amigos in the "good oil".

We have 2 x Disco 2s in the family and combined with the excellent posts and information gained from others here, you will either fix it yourself or find the best way to get someone else to fix it.

    cheers

There is a repairer in Redcliffe(MR Automotive); I would have no hesitation recommending them. They do an exchange modulator don't know how much though. Get the fault reset and see how long it takes to come on again.

    All the best

Yes as everybody else says heaps of info here. Mine turned out to be an air bubble in the lhf brake line. virtually no money spent at all

    Cheers Keith

PS. and if you are lucky enough to have a series 2 update you can have 4 lights not just 3

An exchange is heaps cheaper than new - about $3K I was quoted, so $1200 seems in the ballpark...I paid something similar for mine. Now that one is playing up, and it's being replaced (under warranty) with an exchange from an '03 disco, so touch wood.

On Saturday just gone, whilst going up a track, I didn't have the 3 amigos - I had their cousins - the 2 muchachos ABS & TC but no HDC light on. HDC worked but not TC....

I just bought one from Ebay

There is one for sale at the moment for $150

    Mine came from the USA.

$140 to buy, $80 for freight, $70 to fit and it was a 2004 model

What is the fault code that was recorded in the diagnostics, was the fault code the shuttle valve or was it a wheel sensor.

I'd be looking for someone with a Nanocom to check the fault code, then clear the lights for you, then go from there.

Could be as simple as a dirty sensor or conection.

I have the same problem. The hotter it gets, the worse the problem gets. Just by applying constant pressure to the brake pedal with the vehicle stationary causes my 3 amigos to light. I have just this weekend re-instituted the diff lock as a backup.

I would also highly recomend MR Automotive.

x 2...make sure you have isolated everything else (i.e. less expensive fixes, which are well documented in the threads here) before jumping in at the deep end..
