    turbo timer malfunction

    hi all,

I have a 96 mod 130 and after you turn off the key and hit the button on the turbo timer its not cutting out the motor, keeps on running until you disconnect the battery,

I have a redarc soleniod set up for the second battery so after the battery is disconnected it takes a while for the power to drop out.

Is the turbo timer faulty or is there something that can be done to fix it.

    Thanks in advance

Throw it away, fit an EGT probe instead and use that for shutdown.

Agree, toss it out and fit an EGT gauge, turn off the engine when it gets below 200 Degrees (upstream).

    EGT Gauge, not switch.

Plenty of options, but this one is good value for money:
Does this look like the right stuff? (EGT)
