help!!!!!
hi, can anyone help me out? i own a 1990 range rover, when i drive it it goes fine till i give it a bit of wellie to get up a hill (slope) or to speed up. then it dies and struggles, i have to take my foot off the accelerator and slowly ease it back on to keep going. I have changed the fuel filter and replaced the fuel pump, this improved it but still not working properly. any suggestions??

Next step is to check the fuel pressure at the rail near the injectors- there is a regulator there that opens when you are not using much fuel, diverting it back to the tank. If it was always open, that could account for the symptoms you describe.

it's easier to remove the plenum and fuel rail. You can get to the lower bolt i used a short spanner and a swivel socket to get in there. But it's a hell of a pain.
I would bite the bullet, remove the plenum and fuel rail.
From the symptoms you describe though, i would be looking at the air flow meter
