2005 Range Rover LED Trailer light issue

    Hi all.

I've recently just bought my 05 RR HSE Diesel and I've got a three month old alloy trailer which has LED lights fitted however this doesn't agree with my RR! When they the lights are on PARK it has all indicators, park lamps and brake lamps illuminated on the trailer.

Does anyone have any idea on what could be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers.

Something to do with the CANBUS. Do you have a Drivesafe black box? Regards Philip A

    Hi Philip.

Not sure to any of that... It's an 05 RR with a factory tow pack & wiring kit/setup. I believe it would have been fitted at the date of purchase. Cheers.

I'm not sure the 2005 RR suffers the same issues as the D3, not that I've heard anyway, with LED lights.

I would say there's a problem with the plug wiring on the car. Maybe an earth issue if most (or all) trailer lights are on at once.

I've tried a conventional trailer with normal bulbed lighting, tried my new trailer on our other car and both worked fine. It's definetley a wattage problem and I'll just have to bite the bullet and take it in on Monday to be done.
