Just considering the options on mounting the provent (110 TD5 2001) and have looked at the examples in the forum and most likely will go with one of them.

Space is a problems particularly for me.

The “black box” (Passenger side corner under bonnet) which has the heater hoses and the cable controls on top. It looks like the panels are riveted. I’m curious as to what’s inside the “black box” and is it possible to drill out the rivets on the front panel?

If so I’m thinking of making a new panel with a threaded mounting for the provent.
