    So there's actually nothing wrong with this?

    This is the left hand rear lower shock mount on the Puma. The right is identically put together. These are as delivered and have not been touched.

    Can you spot anything amiss?

    Isn't the washer upside down? Maybe different on a Puma looking at that tubular bit on the mount.

    Spot on Ron That tubular bit is the lower rubber.

    I've crawled all over this car in the last 12 months and last weekend when I was changing the Diff Oil after the big trip I just happened to notice that both rear shocks have the outer washers on upside down

    Of course maybe this one's built for the Northern hemisphere so then they'd be right way up

    They're supposed to be that way Derek, the rubber bushes are conical too, and if fitted the wrong way up won't work at all

    The same is true with D1 from 1994 update.

    When I fit the bilstein or DeCarbon shocks, I remove the steel 'tubes' and revert back to 'normal' shock rubber and washer orientation.
