I graphed the fuel economy with mileage and it seems the fuel economy was improving for the 1st 10 000 km, then steady till about 85000km and then suddlenly got a little worse. Do you remember if you changed anything at 85k? I think the initial higher usage is normal until the engine etc runs in?
    I hope the attachment works.

Good to hear the economy is on par with others - always been quite ahppy with it but have noted a steady gradual decline - thought it went the other way after I'd run it in (after 100,000 km) ;-)
Seen a bit of debate on the forums about quality of diesel at the servo. My preference is to run BP diesel - not always possible when out of town. That recent tank refill at 90 litres was BP diesel and returned the best figures since new. Current tank is Ampol, will be interesting to see what it returns on refill.

Yeah, I have graphs as well - though didn't pick up on the specific trend change at 85k, I'll check my service records and see what was done then.
    Thanks for the input!

Your fuel economy will always be better after a long run, running around town seem to make diesels a bit sluggish over time.

Mine has gotten better over time and the running to work and back entails a lot of 80kph and 100kph zones, so it is running well all the time now, as apposed to when my to and from work was all 50kph zones.

At 230,000ks it is running better than it ever did and it has never seemed to have been affected by having the roofracks fitted or not

thanks for saving the World guys. As a comparison, our D1 3.9 supercharged unit does about 20L/100klms unladen, and 25-30L/100klms or more when towing the horse float, depending on my right foot

So, what you are saving, I am using quite happily

Saving the world?....nah, not what this thread is about. Perhaps you'd be better off posting in the climate change thread.
LOL...I'm pleased that you're happy about using so much fuel, I'm sort of happy about that too, particularly when the initial financial outlay is coming from your wallet and not mine

    Cheers
