I've had a pesky oil leak that drips down the oil filter on the V8 and assumed it was coming from the filter.
Now since I have the flywheel off the back I was underneath looking to the front of the engine and had a clear view of the rear of the filter ( Serpentine belt oil pump model) and there was a nice trail of oil coming from the oil pressure valves. So looks like another job for Buster to replace the "O ring.
It has taken years to finally find this, after degreasing and looking for sources.A different angle makes all the difference.
I also had a clear view of the rear of the left head and noticed there are flimsy black wires attached to the head by a bolt. One of those wires had broken off. So obviously an earth for something. Looks like another job for Buster

So it pays to have a real good look around when you can get access for potential problems.

It also appears access to the starter motor bolts is easier when the exhaust "Y" pipe is removed.
