If I drain the sump and leave it draind for a couple of days, do I risk oil pump unpr

I'm waiting on some parts that haven't arrived and it's hold up the job.
If I was to drain the oil ( Disco V8 Serpentine) and lower the sump and leave it for 2 days do I risk the oil pump draining or would it be ok?

Is it a new style oil pump engine or an "interim" serpentine with the old style oil pump?
If old "yes" if new Dunno.

It's the new style, driven by the crank, oil pump is part of the timing case not a separate pump.So if It did deprime, I will not be able to prime it via a drill in the dizzy route. Wondering, as even when draining oil, the oil filter attached to the pump is still full of oil, whether that would be enough to keep oil in the pump?

This is an interesting read on rover v8's - in particular down the bottom is a bit on priming. In short, it's not a huge problem if you do it a certain way.
