    Using second hand rotors

    Guys,

can you see any reason why I wouldnt be able to use some second hand rotors in my disco.

I have a spare diff and the rotors are still nearly full thickness, and I need to change my worn ones on the rear of my disco. They have some surface rust which I have wire brushed off, and I will make sure I put new pads on with them.

    any thoughts?

    cheers

    Darren

providing theres no run out, the mounting holes arent damaged, no cracks in the face or the edge and over minimum thickness.

if your happy they wont chew up the pads they're good to go

The pads bed to the rotors quicker if you leave the surface rust on. Feel extra grippy for a very little while too, till the bling shines through.

If your going to reuse them, then get them machined and checked by a brake specialist
