With the fridge up that high I would need a ladder to be able to get into it. With mine at floor level it is just ok and I am 5 foot nine.

My wife at five two struggles.

Hi Dave , you don't particularly need to climb into the Fridge with that design , It simply clicks off the front and fridge can detatch itself from the bracket and be pulled forward and lifted off on the ground onto a Tarpoline once you're static in a camp site ,the Lead reaches Far enough

There's a mob who make a fridge slide that slides out then drops the fridge down to a more usable height for those of us who are vertically challenged (not me, I'm 6'3 lol).

I can't remember who makes them but they advertise in 4wd mags.

TJM Coopers Plains has one on display in their store. Didn't ask a price but looks very expensive.

I looked at one of those recently at ARB in Shepparton.

$600 though. That's half the price of my fridge.

I must admit though it is a very clever piece of engineering.

You don't need to close the lid on a Waeco, what set's them apart from the likes of Engel etc, is the Waeco can double it's capacity to chill stuff as it has the patented cool air 'force fields' that extends above the rim of the fridge for times that 50 litres is not enough capacity.
    that's why I bought one

Next you will be telling us that they have a set of wings on the side so they can go flying with pigs.

No, but I can tell you the remote automatic beer grapper is a must have accessory. Even though it's range is only 2 metres, it saves you having to get up and grab them yourself.
