I,m no expert but i wouldnt think a couple of litres in 90 odd will hurt, if you are worried a little 2 stroke oil will add to the lubricity.
Well ive just got home from a bad day!
I dropped into the servo this monring having had the needle bouncing around on empty for about 60km or so.
Grabbed the Green coploured pump at my local Calted and put 20 litres of fuel in. Went inside and said Diesel on 18 love... thats not diesel thats E10! - Great!
So i lushed my Disco off the pump, walked the 4 km home and got swmbo car a couple of 20 l jerrys some hose and returned to servo unable to siphon fuel out, and after the appalling taste of e10 i went to super crap and bought a 20 fuel pump. Pumped out 35 odd litres, and filled up with 94 litres, ( isnt it a 81 l tank?)
Seems to be running ok but ive only gone from servo to shop to home - have to go to work tomorrow ( about 60km Narellan to Parramatta ) .I think ill replace the filter in the carpark in parra.
I think i had the tankl as good as empty or at least no deeper than the hose in the tank as all i kept getting was air on moving the hose around.
So what do you guys think should i drop some type of addetive into the fuel to account for a small amount of e10 which isnt a lubricant?
At least i have 35 l of mower fuel now - mower should like the dieso petrol mix.

Shouldn't be a major problem, as it sounds like you only have a few % petrol in there.
The ethanol can do weird things with water, so check all the water drains on your filters when you have finished the tank.
Probably best to take it easy and keep the EGTs down for this tank.
i did something similar with my '85 patrol when i first bought it, only put in a couple of litres when i "woke up"so i just 3/4 filled the tank with diesel and no problems. might even give it a bit of a clean out!

it'll be right.
about the best concentration of petrol will be maybe 2%.

Again, like Dave and Matt said, it'll be fine. I have seen a D1 300Tdi (Which has essentially the same IP as the 200Tdi) drive 300km topped up on 40litres of ULP before it ran poorlyWe were at Adels grove outside Lawn hill National park when he turned up, and me, a LR nutter, saw a Disco with the bonnet up and couldn't help myself
. It was then flushed out and and continued unproblematic for some years after
( The vehicle moved to Tassie with its new owners, talk about a small world

Happened to me not long ago.
I drained most of it and filled same as you did.
It actually ran better, some old cockies at the local servo told me they put petrol in their diesel tanks all the time, cleans the injectors etc.
I do not suggest you do that but it does make sense.
I also changed fuel filter soon as possible but no serious damage thus far.
5% E10 no problems, i have run up to 10% in a Russian winter with no problems. dont worry about it, dont worry about the filter have a look at it second fill up
