    Fuel cut off switch-solenoid

Hi all. How easy is it replace the above? Looks straight forward enough but how many hidden jems am i to discover. After researching for about a bloody year as to why she suddenly stops at very unusual (hot, cold, fast, slow, whenever) times i may?? may?? have narrowed it down...secondly why do mechanics and auto electritions (in Busselton) have not a clue about the cut off switch-solenoid (well any electrical dramas assosiated with the disco) and cringe everytime the disco wants the very random stopages, well to stop....Other than that. Runs faultless .
    300 tdi disco 98

It's a little fiddley to get at, but a small shifter does the job.

The spade connector on the solenoid can become corroded or loose - a clean with some solvent and a tighten with a pair of pliers generally fixes it. Oh, and provided your Disco isn't a personal import from the UK or from Japan ( which have an ECU nanocom can interface with I think) go back to the 'specialist' and ask them to show you where they plugged in to your disco - that should cause some red faces because the only plug around in a normal diesel disco is for the airbags.
