    Spring Retainers

Hi all, just went up and picked myself up some +50mm dobinson springs + suspension stuff(lovells) shocks today for my 93 d1 and after some reading I have decided to make up some retainers to keep my springs from jumping out.. soo I was just wondering who else here has made their own and if you have any pics to get some design ideas, thinking of doing this for the rangie also.

    thanks in advance.

Don't forget heavy duty retaining plates on the bottom of the springs as well. The tension of a spring under articulation will break them. Personally I favor dislocation cones. They clang a bit but you get used to it and the performance and ride quality improvements are worth the effort.

I made mine out of 50mm and 75mm flat.
