Tried that - ie copy on the work computer to my portable hard disc. But will not would not copy all the files to my portable hard disc - some just will not copy. So it will not run when I copy.
Odd because I have done that with many other service manuals I have bought the CD for then put on my Hard disc so that I have it where ever I am - ie can look up while at work or elsewhere without needing the source CD

What format are the manuals in - if they are in some sort of DVD format you will need a specialised program to copy them.

I assume (if using windows) you right mouse clicked on the CD, and selected "open" to show the CD contents, then copied those files???

Files on normal D2 Service disc from car plus one I bought
Can't remember which files but did not like copying some - will have to look into it.
Pain - anyway will revert to printing relevant section at Work. Need a new 07 capable machine at home - CD dead and one I took from another machine dead. It is a 2002/03 machine - too slow now anyway so time to upgrade. New portable next week and new big box soon!

Ok Take that all back - did a retry on copying the CD to my portable hard disc and it worked - copied all the files form the CD and I Can read the manual so Can now copy to my Hard Disc at home so Can read any time I need to

As a newby to taking a diff out I was also after some detail on how the axle shaft come out for a D2 so I could visualize the process before I started.

Now done - pretty easy and not sure why I was concerned.

The cross pin in my diff was broken in half and on the way out snapped one of the small spider gears in half. The cross pin break has a flat section which is discolored and the other half of the break is a twist break. See Picrures Below of the night's work.

I wonder if this was already half fractured anyway and been that way for a while. Last hard 4x4 in this vehicle was a year ago where we followed 3 comp trucks up a track at Landcuriser park.

Another question for you guys.
I've read various ARB catalogues,some of them suggest RD128 for disco 2 and some of them RD138 - such a difference also exists for 110 rear with and without traction control,whats the difference?

i had two rear difs have the exact same failure within 7 weeks!!!

twin locked now and all smooth sailing so far!
