    Fuel pump seal?

Trying to refit my fuel pump and gees is it giving me curry! I have had no success fitting the seal to the pump and then trying to screw the pump to the tank but if I fit the seal to the tank first I can easily fit the pump. The only prob is the around the pump has an awfully slow leak (at the top of the tank) but buggered if I can tighten the ring anymore.
    Any thoughts?
    Cheers

You need to make sure the seal is fully into the tank top, there should only be a thin shoulder above the mount. Lube the pump with a smear of rubber grease or neat detergent (I use Palmolive), also the thread, hope for the best.
