    when was the last time it had a brake fluid change and system test?

    BRAKES NEED ATTENTION

    G,day all RABBITS here,i have only owned the car for 2 weeks and i am sorting things out with it.I am going to Ricks 4x4 on monday to pick up a new fan belt tensioner.I was quoted $660 from landrover and rick can get me one for $250,big difference !!.Rick has a 2 week waiting list to book the car in for a total check up.I will fit the tensioner my self.but i will go over the brakes and see if i can see anything loose or wrong.I have a Haynes service & repair manual that gives ok imformation,but if it is a ABS sensor i will book it in to ricks ,i hope nothing happens from now till then.Do you think i should use a mobile brake man,so i can get it fixed soon.I will have a chat to rick and see if he can put me on to someone if it is to hard for me to do.Anyway thanks Psimpson7,stikman,Blknight.aus,justinC for your help and thoughts.Dave

    should be ok if its an ABS sensor..

    i have had it happen to me twice now its an awful feeling when the AS gets over sensitive but my car still stopped and was drivable, I just drove my car like it didn't have abs so was very cautious of gaps between cars etc made sure I had plenty of room to pull up

    of course this is my on own experiences so may not apply soley to you....driving a car with brake issues is a risk and one that should not be taken lightly
    Our Land Rover does not leak oil! it just marks its territory.......
